The Halloween Wedding Cake

Of course I did not trust anybody but me to bake the perfect Wedding cake. Since me and my husband had a Halloween Wedding, I thought a black cake with white Lillie's would be appropriated.

The cake was a vanilla cake with a heart shaped chocolate mouse in the middle, I covered it with black fondant and white fondant Lillie's with green fondant leaves. The cake was small since we only invited a few close friends and family.

The Wedding was unforgettable great and different, I love my husband.

The NBA Trophy Cake

For my then boyfriend, now husbands 30th Birthday, I decided to bake him a NBA Trophy. I baked 3 round cakes and 2 half balls for this cake.

I secured the half ball cakes on top of the round cakes with a big tooth pick, after cutting the round cakes smaller and smaller so the ball on top wouldn't look too small. I cut quiet a big piece off.

Happy 30th Birthday James, I love you.

The Spongebob box

The birthday of a 7 year old, he wished for Spongebob in a chest cake, the cake didn't turn out as great as I had hoped.

But for the Spongbob I chose to make a little box and put Hershey Kisses in him, since I couldn't find any chocolate coins.

The Race Car and The Black Pearl

These cakes were for 6 year old twin boys, one of them wanted a race car and the other one liked pirates a lot, especially the Pirates of the Caribbean.

The ship I covered with black fondant and put a sea creature on top, I put some blue fondant around the bottom, I hoped to make it look a little like water.

I covered the race car with white fondant and put a helmet looking ball with a face on top.

The twins loved the cake, I could have done better with more time and the right frosting, but I gave the mother the choice and she picked a hard to work with icing. The cake still looked cute.

The pink Zebra Cake

This cake I made for a friends daughter, she turned 14, as you can see and changed her mind from a Wrestling Cake to a Pink Zebra Cake, which led me to this creation.

I dried the "14" and some of the stars and hearts so I could stick it into the cake.

The lettering is white fondant with sparkly silver powder.

Even the icing matched the cake, I liked it a lot, I hope so did the birthday girl.

The Flower with Butterfly

This cake is a "just because" cake, for no real reason I felt like baking something great for my 3 boys, this is what I was in the mood for.

I made the butterfly out of fondant and then painted it, I have never seen one that looks like this, but who knows, maybe it exists somewhere out there. It does have antennas, even though you can't see them, since I used white ones.

The pedals are also made from fondant, the rest is buttercream icing, the children's favorite. I mixed different oranges and yellows together.

For now, I think this one is my favorite.

The Venom - Black suited Spider

This is the black suited Spiderman for a boys 9th birthday.
He asked for this one since it is his favorite, and I think this one looks better then the good Spiderman.

I used chocolate icing and black food coloring, and normal white butter cream icing.

The Rock Star

Another birthday cake, and so far, my biggest yet. Notice the colors on the cake besides the guitar, black, red and yellow-golden, the birthday boy is german.

The notes on the cake are copied from the original "Happy Birthday" song, I thought for a musician this would be a nice touch he might could play along.

While transporting the cake from one table to another the strings must have fallen off, which made we very sad as I saw this on the pictures, but what can you do.

I hope this is a big enough cake for the 40 guests.

The Easter Basket

2010 Easter Baskets

Each basket had different sized cookies iced with sprinkles, chocolate lollipops and an Amigurumi bunny.

Everything but the bunny was self made, well okay, I bought the chocolate ;)

Yes, I also made the bunnies myself, now aren't they just the cutest?

"little Kitty"

Well this is of course not a cake, but I thought I had to show this one off. She is crochet, or Amigurumi.

I had to make a doll for one of my classes, and this is the result, I wanted to make her look like me and I think I did a pretty good job on it.
:)

The Cookie Town

For Christmas I wanted to make a little town, so I got cookie cutters from wilton to make my own, not those pre-made once.

I even made made my boyfriend, his kids and me (my little family).

The neighbors kids and Santa's sleigh had to be in my town as well.

Of course, Santa Clause came to visit us as well. He liked it so much he decided to stay.

The Halloween Cookie

For Halloween 2009, I didn't wanted to make a cake again, so I thought of baking a coffin cookie. It was really big and didn't even fit on my baking sheet, I had to put two together for this one.

After thinking and thinking on how I could put them together so it would stand up and hold up I came up with covering it completely in chocolate.

For the candy inside I just bought some candy corn and made chocolate lollipop and chocolate covered cookies. It was a hit at the party, and they still are talking about it today.

The Wrestling Cake

This one was for my boyfriend's 29th birthday, I broke my brain about how to make it, and next time, I probably have to get a squared board and screw in or glue the posts on so they actually stay put.

I used fondant for this one, and painted with food color the sides of it, it was hard but a lot of fun, and of course the perfect cake for a Wrestling fan.

I was already asked to make one like this in 2010, but instead of The Undertaker style, in Cena style, hmm, let's see what I'll do with that.

The Creme Centers

I tried myself in making my own creme filling, and I have to say it was pretty good, of course the caramel filling were way more popular.

The Stewie Griffin

I had a blast making this one, it was very easy too, I iced the cake and put fondant over it, then I took some more icing for the face. It was supposed to be for a party but the party sadly never happened, so my three boys ate the cake and loved it!

The Dessert

With just a chocolate cup, some strawberries, whipped cream ad sprinkles you have the perfect healthy, yet yummy dessert for children.

The Chocolate Lollipops

This time, I thought I won't make a cake, I made these Lollipops instead, with a little card.

The German Cake

Since no one else bakes me a cake, I had to bake my own birthday cake 2009.

On the other hand I got exactly what I wanted, three layered (black, red, golden) cake, yep that's right, I made 3 cakes and put food coloring in it to make it look like the german flag, it looked pretty cool as I cut it.

The Spiderman

For another child's birthday, I made this special little friendly neighborhood spider.

Of course cupcakes are always a must at children's birthday, and mine always go with the cake :)

The Halloween Cake

Halloween comes every year, and in 2008 I thought I will start a new tradition or making a somewhat horrifying goody, so in 2008.

I cut a square cake into a coffin form and covered it with icing.

With a cookie as the head stone and some flowers, it turned out pretty well.

The Basketball

For my boyfriend the LAKERS fan, I made this half basketball and cookies.
